As someone with permanent nerve damage in my hands not allowing me to grip much anymore, I feared I would never be able to do one of the few things that kept me sane: powerlifting. Anything over 225 and my hands just can’t hold onto it anymore but with these I can still deadlift well over that without pain or discomfort or risking further damage to my hands

So I am new to powerlifting. I had been getting major blisters on my hands and having a tough time hanging onto the bar when my hands get sweaty. I bought a set of these grips and it was amazing training with them and not having any of the same issues. When I mentioned this to the event organizer of an upcoming competition and showed him a pic of what I bought, he said these were considered straps because they cross the wrist and are not allowed in competitions. I even sent video to show that they don’t wrap completely around the bar. He showed it to 3 of the judges and the said no, the are straps and not allowed. I can train with them but can’t use them during competition. So now I need to buy something else to help protect my hands. He did say some gloves were ok. I was very disappointed to find out I couldn’t use these grips because I really like them. The only issue I have is they are a tad long for women’s hands. I make them work though and I can lift without tearing up my hands.

Many powerlifting federations have strict rules and regulations around approved equipment, typically allowing items like approved belts, knee sleeves, and wrist wraps, while accessories such as lifting straps are often prohibited. We always aim to design and offer products that work across as many federations as possible, but regulations can vary.

Lots of a stitches popping on first run through in the gym. Padding lengths should have been considered more
