Arktik Puffer Jacket

When the jacket arrived, it was not what I expected. I was almost disappointed to be truthful. I was expecting a heavier and bulkier type jacket, even though the website description said lightweight (how often are the descriptions actually accurate?). I figured for the price, it would be a pretty serious jacket, with some heft to it, and would be the perfect outer layer that I wanted it to be.

I was half right...it's a pretty serious jacket, and quite literally perfect for my needs...it just happens to weigh marginally more than air. The first time I wore it out for it's intended purpose of being my "walking outside in the cold jacket", I was quite surprised at how warm it was. It was 24 degrees outside with a roughly 7-8 mph wind. I had on my GymReapers heavyweight sweat set, heavy UA gloves and a heavy UA beannie, with this awesome jacket overtop. I was literally toasty for my 3.5 mile walk, and in disbelief the entire time that something so light could actually be so warm. It really is the perfect finishing piece for layering.

The website desription is spot on in all ways. It is super lightweight. It is oversized. It is warm. And I have no doubt it's water resistant as both the outer shell material and sealed zippers lead me to believe it's able to keep you dry. Speaking of the zippers...the attention to detail on this jacket, in even the smallest of ways, is fully apparent. High quality in all ways, and impressive overall.
