Measured my waist as instructed, 35" if I remember correctly. I got a medium and there's about an inch of overlap. This is my first belt so idk if that's normal or not. The "self locking" feature of the belt makes it difficult to get tight enough so I don't use it. I have to keep the buckle on my love handle area because it's uncomfortable in the front when I'm deadlifting/squatting. All in all I'm very happy with the quality and support of the belt, especially with the price. Good stuff.

A year ago i purchased my first weight lifting belt at size XXL. It worked great and I loved it, but at some point I could no longer get it tight enough to work properly, so I ordered one a size smaller and got to try it out the other day. Weight 'loss' isn't linear but because I had to get a smaller belt and what i can lift, I know that I am making progress.
